Gap year - year in industry vs unstructured

I currently have an offer to do a year in industry as a junior engineer w/ a 2 hour commute either way (relocation not an option unfortunately but it's a hybrid role so should be working remotely at least a day/week) and while it is a great opportunity careers wise, it would also mean I can barely do anything else alongside it and won't be having a particularly relaxing gap year. I have a deferred offer so I don't technically need to do anything. Any advice and things to consider? Thanks!
