Another question sorry, how would you suggest learning hot topics without absorbing the whole story unnecessarily
Erm not too sure what you mean by hot topics but I'll give it a go... This is a tale as old as time, freshers start med school and they have no idea how to study such a vast subject like medicine let alone what buts to take from it but it honestly does get better. I'd say reading stuff at medical school level and talking with friends/going to teaches that the older years put on will give you a good idea on what important bits to take from each topic. People also use question banks like passmed and quesmed which I'm sure you'll get to know once you start medical school. Now that I'm in final year I have a pretty good idea of what level I'm expected to be at in most areas of medicine, consultants and junior doctors will also do teaching for you in clinical years and might make it known when you're not up to scratch in a certain area, but most people do fine. If you take a topic like anaemia for example, massive topic. haematologists can dedicate a whole career to it but I know broadly how I as a junior doctor will need to categorise, recognise/diagnose and have a good idea of the treatments available. Hope this helps! Really happy to keeps answering questions!

People cannot answer specific questions about interviews unfortunately. But more general advice and resources can be found on the med interviews discussion thread.
GANFYD posted some very useful resources on that thread that might help.

i dont think thats an interview question thats breaking any nda rules - more so like do you learn the entriety of the case study topic or just the key parts and how to use that when answering rather than a specific topic if that makes sense
If anyone has any questions about applying for 2024 just let me know and I'll be happy to help! I study Zoology BSc but would be happy to answer any questions related to the uni or city in general if you have anything you'd like to know
If you'd like to chat to someone from your specific course, we have a Unibuddy page accessed from here where you can find students and lecturers from your course to chat to and ask any specific course-related questions.
We also have an open day coming up on 18th November which you can book onto here to come and visit our vibrant campus in Britain's Ocean City!
Please feel free to reach out if you have any general questions about Plymouth, the city, and campus which I could answer!
Best of luck!
