Since you already have achieved A-Levels, I think they look at your college/sixth form A-Level average grade and then compare it with your achieved A-level grades.

I don't think GCSE's matters for you, you will be in Group B rather than Group A.

Hope that helps!
Hey,

I feel a bit disheartened at the moment. On insta Kent revealed that the ucat cut off might not remain the same this year.

I’m really scared because I got 2490 so I’m really close to the cut off from the last few years.

What how many points do you think they will increase the cut off?

Hello!

I don’t know if you’re a grad or a level student but from my experience don’t read into it too much. Just wait and see what happens, they read references and personal statements too which few medical schools actually do. UCAT scores really depend on who has applied that year. Maybe the scores may go down - you never know .

If you are a grad it seems they will give you an invite for a Casper test by the 19th November, which would mean you have met the UCAT threshold. So there is a kind of reassurance if you’re a grad. Not sure about a level students though.

It’s a long waiting game but keep your spirits up and be positive, you’ve got this

Thank you 😊. I’m an a level student. It’s because many people online who have applied have a Ucat score from 2500+.

I understand . Be positive, not everyone who has applied is on TSR so it’s not representative of the scores they will assess as a cohort.

Good luck, we will all need a bit of luck too ☺️
Does anyone know when the CASPER test invites will go out to grad applicants?

I know :frown:. However, I have been told that you can’t really prepare for it that much. It’s a little like the situational judgement in UCAT, based on your personality traits I guess.

Does everyone grad get to take the Casper test or is it only those selected? And how do you revise for it? Is there a score you need to get?

I think it’s only those that have been selected after passing the UCAT threshold.
In the email they have sent you can revise using information online. I have spoken to a few people that took it and they said you can’t really revise for it, just be aware of the types of questions, sleep well the night before and be ready to speak into a webcam.

Good luck with your application .

Do they send the CASPer invites in bulk? I know I will have to take it (grad and international), and since people have received it, I’m a little worried that I didn’t get it. I know they said some international students can be handed out late but thought I should ask.
To those who have received Casper invites are you able to disclose what ucat score you got? If not that's fine, as just wanted to see what the ucat threshold will be like

I am not sure about international applicants. Do you have their Instagram? Every Wednesday they have a Q&A between 12-2pm UK time. It would be worth asking the question there.

I do think based on what I’ve seen before and read they will send out all Casper invites this week and there are an exceptional few that will be given out later. However I really do not know if this applies to international applicants and don’t want to give you the wrong info so maybe email to ask or Instagram question it next Wednesday .

Good luck with your application!
