@babybarista1 Congrats on your offer. I wanted to pm you since we'll be on this course together. But somehow I'm still not permitted to. Have you heard from any college yet?

Hey Maja12, you cannot pm yet because you only just started posting today, I believe it might take around 3 days from now before you will be able to PM other people.

Btw, would you mind sharing your education and professional backstory? (similar to what we did in the first few posts in this thread). I would love to know more about the stats and narrative with which you applied.

Hello, I have PM’d you, I believe that bypasses the block on sending messages for new members

Hi @Dranox and thanks @babybarista1 för your message. I have been a member for a few weeks, but still unable to PM.

My background is consultant physician and researcher. I did two dissertations including a PhD and am really looking forward to the discussions and networking in the MST Practical Ethics course.

My offer is conditional on passing the English requirements and I have not yet heard from any college.

Happy to hear from anyone else participating in this course!
Hi everyone, congratulations to those with offers and commiserations to those who missed out this year.

I've been told my application 'will be reconsidered at a later deadline' after applying for the January deadline, e.g. it will be reconsidered with those who applied for the March deadline.

Does anyone have any experience with this, or know the odds? I had assumed most people would apply in January...

Yes, I had this happen to me last year. I was told that I would be reconsidered with the March candidates, then I was put on a wait list around May which essentially means if someone declines their spot then you can move up the waitlist. In my case, I found out later I was in position 2 on the waitlist but as insufficient people declined their place I did not get in but had to wait until essentially September to really know that as some people accept their place and then drop out later when they can’t finance it.
Thanks for that, I'll keep on waiting 😬
March deadline. Just received an email informing that I was not offered a place. Placed on a waiting list.

Hello, I applied for the March Deadline. I was not offered a place but told my application will be put on a waiting list and, if a place becomes available, I will be informed immediately. Well done to those who got places!

Many congratulations. Are you able to tell us a little about yourself, your background? You can see we have put ours earlier in the thread.

Thank you! Also congratulations to everyone who received an offer! I am looking forward to meeting you all! Is there already a way to keep in touch to share experiences towards the start of the academic year?

My background is a bit an unusual one! I studied classical organ and piano at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. At the same time, I studied law at the University of Amsterdam where I graduated cumlaude. During my time in Amsterdam, I went on exchange to the University of Toronto where I did courses in philosophy and ethics. I am currently doing a Master in Corporate Law (MCL) at the University of Cambridge and some (online) courses at Tilburg University in order to be eligible for the bar!

Hi, I was a March deadline applicant and I was informed on 24 April that I was not being offered a place but was being placed on a waitlist. From previous posts, I understand that the offer decision deadline is generally in June and that it is only then that people on the waitlist might be offered places. However in some years nobody comes off the waitlist as all offers are accepted. As the course is a part time course, funding is less an issue for applicants than it is on full time courses where people might be offered courses in a number of different institutions but funding in only one which is the offer they ultimately take up.

The offer deadline has passed and I have been informed that it looks unlikely that any places will be offered to waitlisted students as a sufficient number of offer holders have accepted their places.
Can you share some info on the interview process?
