    can it cause cancer :confused: please dont call me female but i use it every three weeks to maintain my dark look lol. permanent hair dye is just not as effective as 'lasts twenty washes' dye

    I have not had any problems with perminant hair dye, tis good at keeping my hair black.

    I think there used to be a link, but they've banned all dyes containing that chemical now

    There is meant to be a link so dyes wih low ammonia would be better. Know what you mean about having to have permanant dye

    yes. it was a NewScientist article quite a while ago.
    it's been confirmed. sorry for any worries/bringing of bad news...

    It depends if you are alergic (sp?) to some of the chemicals in the dye
