Woo-hoo!! We've finally reached the final year of our further education!
How are you all feeling? Scared, nervous, excited?
Year 13 can truly be a nerve-racking experience but this thread has been created to encourage each other to get through the lows and celebrate the highs.
Here are some questions to introduce ourselves: -What A-Level subjects are you studying? -What course are you thinking of applying for? -Do you have to take any entrance exams? -Favourite food? -What are you looking forward to doing after year 13? -Hobbies and interests?
Here's to a successful year ahead of us! Work hard and look after yourselves, we can do this!!!
I've been playing since year 5 (so just over 8 years), are practising for any exams?
COVID properly scuppered me up, I should be doing my grade 6 and technically have my grade 4 under my belt but instead we've gone straight to grade 5. I don't think I'll do the exam as I'm so stressed out and playing the clarinet doesn't give me enjoyment due to the stress of the exams. What about yourself?

My first exam ended up being my grade 6 (which I did in November) but I got to an exam standard at grade 1 (my teacher forgot to put the application in 🙄), grade 3 (syllabus changed and my clarinet was borderline unplayable), grade 4 (covid 🙄) and grade 5 (but GCSEs got in the way). I'm now practising grade 8 pieces just for fun as it is unlikely that I will do another exam.

Literally me! I talked with my clarient teacher and said that I was so stressed out by my a-levels that I just want to do the pieces for fun and then if i'm good enough we'll go for it and if not then I won't
hello everyone ! just want to say that the latest TSR Book Quiz is out now, and there's no particular theme - so hopefully some questions will be familiar to you! get your bookworm hats now and have a go at completing the quiz here! (there are also rep prizes to be won if you come top 3!!)
You may be able to in certain situations (e.g., part time courses) but eventually the university will need to let UCAS know that you've been given a place.
@Admit-One can advise further (or correct me if I'm wrong!!)
