How do I connect to the university? Do I have to be on the course or can I still be on it by being an offer holder?

hey guys, just wondering how much revision you guys are doing per day now that we are on the run up for study leave?
i aim for around 1-2hrs a day, 15hrs a week

Oh man, maybe my 16 hours a week of revision is a bit excessive lol
maybe a tad but as long as you are not overworking yourself, then you should be fine

Original post by flowersinmyhair

COVID properly scuppered me up, I should be doing my grade 6 and technically have my grade 4 under my belt but instead we've gone straight to grade 5. I don't think I'll do the exam as I'm so stressed out and playing the clarinet doesn't give me enjoyment due to the stress of the exams. What about yourself?

My first exam ended up being my grade 6 (which I did in November) but I got to an exam standard at grade 1 (my teacher forgot to put the application in 🙄), grade 3 (syllabus changed and my clarinet was borderline unplayable), grade 4 (covid 🙄) and grade 5 (but GCSEs got in the way). I'm now practising grade 8 pieces just for fun as it is unlikely that I will do another exam.

Literally me! I talked with my clarient teacher and said that I was so stressed out by my a-levels that I just want to do the pieces for fun and then if i'm good enough we'll go for it and if not then I won't :coffee:

I revise during my frees and then probably do about 2 hours at home after college. When is your study leave? Mines not until the 10th of may

I would assume not. I've applied for a BSc course and I had to apply through ucas

You may be able to in certain situations (e.g., part time courses) but eventually the university will need to let UCAS know that you've been given a place.

@Admit-One can advise further (or correct me if I'm wrong!!)
