Hi everyone - I got on to the Government Statistical Service scheme after what felt like ages of waiting - I'm so excited to start! I want to be based in Manchester does anyone know how I would go about this on the preferences form? Do I select North West or can I specifically ask for Manchester? Does anyone also know about the dress code for the civil service like what clothes should I buy (male)?

Hey I was told I was successful for the commercial scheme a few days ago! I was wondering when the location preference stage happens- has anyone been contacted about that yet for this scheme (or others)?

Had my feedback through for PD FSB, unfortunately didn’t pass. No mention of Direct Appointment Scheme for near misses on the email. Anyone else who didn’t pass FSB and had their feedback through was there any mention of DAS? I’m concerned they might not run it this year due to recruitment freezes across the CS.

Hi, I receieved an email about the DAS on April 16th, after being unsuccessful at FSAC. Had to send off an expression of interest form, so waiting to hear back from that.

I was unsuccessful at FSB but told that I am on the reserve list should any of the successful candidates pull out/ have a change of circumstances etc. - what are the chances of this happening?

If you scored very highly then it's likely you'll be offered a role throught the Direct Appointment Scheme (DAS)...

A week and a half after the offer you get access to onboarding zone and part of onboarding will be to rank locations

Ah that’s good, which scheme was that for? Was it HEO or EO?

I scored 26/36 on my FSB and was unsuccessful ☹️ just wondering what score was needed to pass the FSB for science and engineering. Thanks

Really sorry to hear that. Are you in the running for any other schemes? Hope you find a good opportunity soon.

Is anyone still waiting to get the email for security clearance 3 weeks after sending the form?

I'm sorry to hear, but I am not sure how to see the score for this? I've not been told of my FSB score

Wishing you the best in your next endeavours

A lot of people who failed did not sure about those who passed it’s worth popping an email to see how you did

They ask you to select which departments you're interested in, and yes there is a question about where you would be willing to work. They also ask for your CV.

My FSAC was for Operational Delivery but I could be allocated to any department through DAS, I think. I'm being considered for an EO role.

Hi, how long after not passing the FASC did you receive an email about DAS. Also what did you score at the FASC in the original scoring system /16?

Any info on this? Has anyone else recieved EOI form? And how do you know if your score was out of 12 or 16? Does everybody on the FSAC get approached with an EOI or is it selective dependent upon score?
