Hi all, just posting as my WBS have just been unlocked!
My feedback has been:
WSQ - a lot of alignment
SJQ - a lot of alignment
Numerical - Above average

I can’t remember what order I placed my schemes but I applied for:
DDAT, Project Delivery, Government Policy and the new Ops scheme.

I failed at the WBS last year so I’m going to be doing a lot of prep before I attempt them again.

Good luck to everyone!!

When did you apply?

Hi guys I’m wanting some honest truth with my results below should I not hold my breath for diplo or any stream for that matter?

Numerical - higher than the majority
SJQ- below average range compared to other applicants
WSQ- tends to match more than the majority

wondering if they take each test alone or they make a base using them all? Does anyone know ?

WBS unlocked !

SJQ:
Feedback on your performance

Your responses to the Situational Judgement Questionnaire focusing on interpersonal skills demonstrated good capability to make appropriate judgements in situations that involve other people. In this respect your performance on this assessment was in the above average range compared to other applicants. Such a capability is an important foundation in developing the necessary people management skills to succeed on the Fast Stream.

Numerical Feedback:
Your responses to the Numerical test demonstrated a good capability to successfully perform calculations, and evaluate and interpret numerical information to solve problems. In this respect your performance on this assessment is higher than the majority of people who previously took the test.

WSQ:
Feedback on performance

Overall, your responses to the questionnaire indicate a strong alignment between your work style preferences and the workplace demands of the Fast Stream. Your performance indicates that the way you prefer to approach your work tends to match the Fast Stream role requirements more than the majority of other applicants.

Diplomatic is *very* competitive. I’d honestly say it’s unlikely that you’ll get through for that scheme, simply because very few people (proportionally) will.

I’d say you certainly still have a chance of getting onto another scheme, but I don’t know what the impact of the below average result on the SJQ will be. As far as I know, all three tests are used to calculate a pass mark (different for each scheme), but they aren’t necessarily equally weighted. As such, I don’t think we can be certain whether the weighting allocated to each test varies from scheme to scheme. If the SJQ isn’t afforded as significant weight as the other assessments (or if this is true in the case of a particular scheme to which you have applied), then you could still have a chance.

All that said, it’s certainly not a guarantee. I’d say that you have a chance because there is too much that we don’t know about the recruitment process - not because I think it’s likely that you’ll get through with a below-average result on the SJQ.

Don’t be disheartened though; even if you don’t succeed this year, you got some great results in the other two tests. People routinely succeed on their second or third applications, so you have a very strong starting point to progress from.

Hi all,

Was wondering if online tests are taken into consideration after you've passed them, or if they're simply relevant to entry onto each next stage (I.e. irrelevant after getting through to work based scenarios)?

So far I have:
- WSQ = Average
- SJQ = Above average
- Numerical = Above average

Streams:
1 - Science and Engineering
2 - Government policy STEM
3 - Diplomatic and Development (understand this was unwise now)
4 - DIgital, Data, Tech & cyber

Reply 216

Has anyone sat the work based scenarios yet? Is it unique to each role you pick? I've got a few other things piled up before I can sit down and start them.

Hey, got above average in all. Applied Diplo, HoP, Policy. No WBS yet.

We applied to the same streams and got the same scores! I assume because we didn't get top of the top feedback, they're still waiting to see how a few more people perform. Fingers crossed! Please let me know if you hear something

I got above average in all too and its unlocked. I picked government policy STEM, parliament, operational delivery STEM, and diplomatic so maybe because of your order preference it'll take longer to decide.
