once you’ve passed through each round, do previous scores count towards your selection for the next level? ie. now I’ve completed WBS, will they consider my online tests when inviting me to additional info? Or is it now disregarded, and they will look only at my WBS scores?

The only thing you need to do is get through. If you got Better than Majority, Better than Majority and Better than Majority for your first 3 tests, it doesn't make any difference.

No it does not. It only matters so much as in it gets you to the next stage of the application process.

Probably some of the people who had already worked for the civil service. Most haven't, and won't until probably next week when the last of the new people come in and their scores set the pass marks.

Hi, just wondering why would people who have worked for the civil service get their results back sooner than those who are new to the civil service?

Unless they’ve got a Fast Pass following the SDIP, they wouldn’t.

On the FAQ it says we could be waiting until February for final pass marks to be set which I’m assuming includes WBS. Current civil servants are no more likely to receive their results before non-CS applicants so not sure why it’s been said in this thread

Between middle of November, middle of February according to their website.

Hi,
Apologies if this has been addressed already but my work-based scenarios still haven't been unlocked yet. I've been assuming that they're still getting the boundaries etc. But if I have just not passed through to that stage will I be told? Or do I just assume I haven't got through because it's been a while since I've completed the online exercises

You won't know for sure until end of next week, when the boundaries have been set. Don't give up hope, but continue to apply other places.

Do you know if they wait until after all the assessment centres until they offer jobs? Or are they given on a rolling basis

They didn't wait last year or the year before. I -suspect- that they offer jobs until the jobs run out, since I know of people who took a year to get on and some who got hired in January.

May be different this year.

Do we find out which scheme option we’ve gotten into at the assessment centre stage?

No; you will only learn what scheme you've been successful at the end of the process or after the FSAC. The FSAC will be the same regardless of schemes selected.

Depending on your schemes, you might be invited to attend a Final Selection Board (FSB) so it's at that point that you'll learn you're still in contention for those schemes.

Hope that helps!

I applied and was successful in 2017, the process might have changed a little bit since then.

Like most stages of the application process, a 'floor' and 'ceiling' of scores or performance is set. Those above the ceiling or below the floor will find out really quickly either way.

When the final boundaries are set and all online tests are complete, the 'floor' is increased and the 'ceiling' is decreased in phases. This will likely be done over the course of several weeks or even a couple of months once all applicants have completed their tests.

For those ranked in or near the middle, this means invariably a fairly long wait unfortunately with no guarantee. No news is no news.

The year I applied had a video-interview before the FSAC and I was forced to wait months and months (although was ultimately successful).

i've just had an email to say i've unlocked my WBS...

My results were -
Work style - mostly aligned
SJT - Average range
Numeracy - better than majority

I'd honestly lost hope considering I had 2 average results and thought I'd be waiting for ages to hear back so hopefully this gives some people a bit of hope
my choices were- gov policy, gov social research, project delivery, HR and commercial

For those still waiting for the unlock, don't get disheartened. After such a long wait I was completely sure it was all over...

Unlocked this afternoon off the back of a totally unexciting score range:

SJT - average
Num - average
Work Style - strongly aligned.

It's still all to play for guys.

I got the email that I was unsuccessful in unlocking WBS, so that’s the end of the road for me this time! It was my first time trying so I’ve got a better idea of the things to work on for next time if I decide to try again. Good luck everyone! -Shiba

Sorry to hear that :/ Good luck for next time, and there's always the direct entry if you're not a civil servant yet!
