Just found out I failed the Science and Engineering FSB but I've been offered Gov Policy STEM! Pretty excited to be starting in the autumn!
Sorry to hear you didn’t get onto the science and engineering fast stream…. But delighted to hear you were successful with the STEM Scheme! I am the absolute opposite, failed to reach the stem scheme before the AC but have been informed that I have been accepted into the Science and Engineering scheme which was my first choice! So looks like we are both happy and can look forward to new careers in September!!

Had my Project Delivery FSB at 1:45pm today and just heard back that I was unsuccessful. I actually came out of it thinking I did quite well but must have absolutely mullered it to be rejected so quickly. Christ. Couldn’t tell you what I did wrong.

I'm so sorry to hear that :frown:( Are you still in the running for any other schemes? I'm starting to doubt whether mine went well

anyone done finance fsb yet?

Please can people who have completed the FSB for Government Statistical Service let me know how difficult they found it? I don’t want to know anything about the questions but just whether it was more or less difficult than you expected. I have mine on Friday and I’m really nervous and feel like I’m overthinking it too much.

Congratulations to both of you, lots to look forward to. Sounds like the science and engineering FSB was especially tough.

Does anyone know whether all schemes have September and October start dates or do some schemes start in September and others in October?

I've done the PECs and had my relocation restriction approved but I don't know how I'm going to wait until summer to find out about postings and I'd love to have a better idea of probable start dates.

Thanks!! I am waiting for the onboarding process to start now! How long did it take from start to finish with onboarding? How long did it take for your location restriction to come through? I am a teacher so need some confirmation in order to submit my resignation before the end of May!

I think it took just over three weeks between the acceptance email and the onboarding one for me, but that was over Christmas and most others on here got the email more quickly.

The onboarding zone gives you a to do list that you're supposed to complete within two weeks. That doesn't mean it will be done that quickly from their side though. For me it took a couple of days after starting the onboarding zone list for the job to appear on CS jobs and then you complete the PECs via that account. The PECs took almost two weeks for me, but a bit of that was extra checks for periods spent abroad and waiting for translations of additional documents.

I can't tell you about how long vetting takes because I spent too long abroad to be eligible.

I asked for a relocation restriction via the onboarding zone in mid January and got an email yesterday confirming that it had been approved. It still says that it's subject to postings being available in my area so I hope that if that wasn't the case they'd ask me to move anyway rather than just kicking me off the fast stream.

I think it depends on your scheme and how long your checks take. I believe DDaT starts in September for most people but we'll get more information in the summer with temp contracts & posting details. 😊

Without going into too much detail about my vetting (as anyone can read these forums) mine took about 2 weeks from submission to being approved. How long it'll take will depend on how many they're processing at the time and if they require further information from you.

All I can tell you is that the statistics for the Press article are what you'd expect based on the FSB guide. You get some data and have to put the pieces together.

Oh wow that's good news! Sounds like commercial is finally getting back to people.

Congrats!

Hey everyone, I just had my Science and Engineering FSB yesterday and wondered if anyone had heard back yet about results or if they're definitely waiting until the end of the FSB period in April to release outcomes?
Thanks

Normally these forums are buzzing when the offer letters go out in bulk but tonight hasn't been like that at all. It makes me think they're trickling out, which would make sense if people are still doing the commercial FSB (I know people have posted in the last week about having them coming up). Fingers crossed you get some good news soon!
