Can I retake a module from my second yr alongside my third yr

I failed one assignment from my second yr which made me fail a module so I cannot progress onto third yr without passing the module can I retake it alongside my third yr is that a possibility it was a module that ran through semester one and 2

Which uni are you at? Have you already had a reassessment opportunity in this module? Or have you only failed it once so far? How many credits is the module worth? It is a core (mandatory) modules, or an optional module? Did you just fail, or were you quite a way off?

(Sorry for all the questions, but those answers will likely dictate whether you can trail this module or not - depending on your uni's rules. The uni name is the most important piece of information.)
