Which degree? Please DO NOT pressure your teachers - they may be accountable for the grades you get

Schools which over-predict get known ...

Psychology, and I'm not pressuring them to over predict me. I already have an A* predicted in psychology and with biology I was consistently getting A*s on homeworks last year, and on my exams I was getting either top of the A boundary or into an A*.

There isn't much A* content in Year 12 ...

Yes well all I'm going to do is talk to my teacher about it and see what she says. I have much better chances with another A* against all these private/grammar school students predicted 4A*s so it is worth a try imo

What swung you in the end?
Helloooo, posting to subscribe :h: Good luck for this year, and Malteasers ftw! If you buy some for your teachers but end up not needing them, a certain Goatherd can help you polish them off :innocent:

Welcome to my A-Level Diary!

As you may or may not know, I am thrivingfrog and will be sitting my A-Levels this year! I am taking Biology, Maths and Psychology (all AQA) and am hoping to get into Oxford! :woo: (please pray for me)

I am creating this because I know quite well that my time management and organisation skills are FAR from adequate, and I'm hoping that having a source of accountability will help me actually get my head down and revive RevisingFrog from year 11, because that era quickly disappeared in year 12 :colondollar:

My current predicted grades are A*AA, but I am hoping to get this up to A*A*A with some bribery and hard work :u:

Now time to crack on and release my inner academic weapon!

good luck with Oxford!! I need to know how you revise bio, i'm kind of flopping bio at the moment

Year 13 is horrible. 3 days in and I've already had a test. My first week of assessments (for all subjects) is in 2 weeks so guess I've got to start revising literally yesterday. That being said, everything is (for the most part) under control for now so I'm managing to keep on top of it all

Plan for the week:
Monday:
- Make edits to PS based on feedback ✅️
- TSA practice questions during afternoon free ✅️
- Watch video on problem solving section ✅️

Tuesday:
- Meeting with Oxbridge admissions tutor✅️
- Make mind map for 2) Succession✅️
- Research methods task 1 (homework)✅️

Wednesday:
- Maths homework booklet (80 marks) ✅️
- TSA practice questions
- Mentoring call ✅️

Thursday:
- Psych revision resource: science (homework)
- TSA practice essay
- Read essay on developmental psychology

Friday:
- Oxford open day

And then I have work all weekend :colondollar: So in short, Froggy is very busy and has a lot to be doing, but it's okay because I'm factoring in breaks and days/evenings off- my aim is to get the majority of things done in college so that I'm free at night but I have the attention span of a goldfish so we'll see how well that turns out

Well luckily I have a lot of frees this year (even if it does mean I only have one late start) so I'm hoping I can- I've scheduled all of my tasks for the week into frees where possible. Now my only task is ACTUALLY doing it

My sixth form is making us do 3 study periods a week, plus 1 study for each subject I do a fortnight so this week I only have 5 frees lol.

We were only allowed 3 free lessons a week back in the day and had to organise supervised study or other extra-curricular stuff for the rest
Urgh for test but YAY for open day on Fri  Any particular plans/talks on your agenda? :colone:
