We're now stuck in unmoving traffic, woohoo. Time to do my makeup I think

Welcome to English highways!
Hope you have a fun day at Oxford today, and that you sleep through the weekend to compensate for waking up at the ungodly hour of 4:00AM :hugs:

I'm not a fan of the English highways pahahaha, and thanks! Although I am going out tomorrow and then have work for the rest of the weekend so sleep may not be happening

As soon as we've fixed the sat nav which has lost the GPS signal I will crack on with my question planning

Fair enough.

Have a wonderful day in Oxford and hopefully the insight gained from this trip will benefit your application greatly.

Brilliant. Has the trip helped you pick a college?

I looked at St John's, Worcester, Magdalen and University. It's very much between Magdalen and Worcester but I'm leaning towards the latter

Aw I'm sure she is going to love them!! Yes I went to look at Worcester when I was considering Oxford too
Someone in my family also went to Brasenose college which is the one really near the Bodleian library

Fair. Worcester is a great choice of college. I’m sure TLG will be very happy to hear.

I applied to Magdalen for 2023 entry after visiting Magdalen college roughly this time last year (though I was eventually allocated to St John’s after being given an open offer by Queen’s). I can understand the appeal of applying there.

PRSOM. I can't remember if I've told you this, or if I told someone else this the last cycle, but the EP tutor at Woosta is a really lovely guy. Takes care of his students and is a nice humane person. He saw a friend of mine through a very rough time and was super-supportive
Okay so, just did a full TSA paper for the first time in proper exam conditions and I'm not too sure of how to feel about it if I'm honest

I got 61 equivalency score, which is a bit off the average for successful applicants (around 69) but I completed it with 40 minutes remaining and didn't go back to check my answers. I literally straight away realised where I'd made mistakes as soon as I finished the paper so I'm sure that I would've got higher if I'd had taken my time and gone back over answers. It's obviously not great but I'm trying to not let it get to me, and I'll be attempting another one tomorrow- this time without rushing :colondollar: I feel like it would've helped if I hadn't had done it at the end of a day in which I did a 6 hour shift for work and spent an hour at the gym

That’s really good for a first try at a full paper - especially given you rushed it after a long shift at work.

Bearing in mind how you reacted to a question not that long ago, that is a huge improvement and you should be really proud. Take the question mark out of the title of this GYG as it is pretty evident you are very clever.

Thank you :hugs: gonna do another paper tonight when I'm hopefully more alive and will take my time so that my score hopefully goes up!

Welcome to my A-Level Diary!

As you may or may not know, I am thrivingfrog and will be sitting my A-Levels this year! I am taking Biology, Maths and Psychology (all AQA) and am hoping to get into Oxford! :woo: (please pray for me)

I am creating this because I know quite well that my time management and organisation skills are FAR from adequate, and I'm hoping that having a source of accountability will help me actually get my head down and revive RevisingFrog from year 11, because that era quickly disappeared in year 12 :colondollar:

My current predicted grades are A*AA, but I am hoping to get this up to A*A*A with some bribery and hard work :u:

Now time to crack on and release my inner academic weapon!

Good luck with A levels and your application to Oxford! I’m also applying this year and I feel the same but it’s worth giving it a go!! What course are you applying for?
