Heyyy
Happy New Year! What does everyone think of the new TSR look - personally I love the purple 💜

Anyways this week we had our mock results day and got our grades from mocks as well as our new predicted grades so here they are✨
(I’ll put them current, predicted)
Maths 9-, 9
English Language 8,8 (really shocked at this)
English Literature 7, 8
Biology 9, 9
Chemistry 9, 9 (the grade boundaries were really low so I’m pleased with this)
Physics 8, 8
RS 8, 9
Food 9, 9
Geography 9, 9
Spanish 9, 9
Computing 7, 7

Overall I’m pleased with my current grades and my predicted grades as they have increased since year 10 EoYs so now I’m going to apply to the other two sixth forms😌

Fantastic mocks grades! Keep up the work and you'll be on track for these and higher at the end of the year! I believe in you (coming from a full A* pupil) - you can 100% do it
omg i spent like 20 mins looking through your whole thread from the start and i loved it 😭😭😭 like i suddenly feel so motivated now and kinda regret not making one for myself since my mocks ended yesterday but oh well maybe ill make one when i start my proper gcse revision (in like a weeks time)

congrats on your results btw!!

You should definitely make one - it really helps keep me accountable for what revision I’ve actually done and the community is so supportive✨. Let me know when you make one and definitely follow it

Heyyy
I went to my food teacher and saw my mock - I got 82/100 which I’m really pleased with🎉
I keep saying that I’m going to start revision for gcses but so far it’s just procrastination 🥲.
Parents evening is tonight but I’m not too worried as my mock grades were decent so I’ll let you know how that goes

Heyyy
I don’t usually do two updates in a row but I though i’d update you guys on parents evening before so forget 😌

English - my teacher said I should just back myself and believe I can do it bc I was really shocked at my mock grade so they told me to just give them practice questions and believe in myself

Maths - my teacher said I was doing good but need to work on non calculator (honestly I panic sm when there isn’t a calculator to check my answers) and they were disappointed I don’t really want to take a level maths

Biology - all good but I was only 2% into the grade boundary for a nine so I just need to get a few more marks so that’s it’s a solid nine

Chemistry - said that I should talk more in class (they say this every year😭) and my teacher was disappointed in me for my mock grade 🥲

Physics - my teacher could tell I didn’t like physics but apparently if I push myself I could get a nine

Spanish - all good and my teacher was disappointed I’m not taking it for a level but that I should book some speaking practice sessions with them at lunchtimes to improve confidence

Geography - all good but at first my teacher was looking at someone else’s marks and telling me that it was unusual for me to be getting that low on a section but then they checked and went back to mine. My teacher said I would be great at a level geography which is a relief

Food - said I should be louder in class but that my NEA1 was looking good which was such a relief bc I’m so scared about the coursework

Computing - my teacher said I could go from a 7 to a 9 if I bought this revision book that he suggested bc some people in my class got it and went up three grades from year 10 to the mocks

RS - didn’t have a parents evening for this

Sounds like overall it went really well! And there are always those teachers asking you to speak more, its just so they can see you understand the work and which parts you don’t.

looks like they all went really good!! its great that your teachers see a lot of potential in you to get high grades
Heyyy
I've got so much homework to do now - the teachers have suddenly increased it so much recently fo no good reason :frown:
I got given 5 essays to write today in english and two are due tomorrow so I'm kinda procrastinating about that rn  and two maths papers as well as other homework.
I still haven't started gcse revision yet bc I have no time with all the homework I need to do so I really need motivation to start on it

oh gosh 5 essays to write must be a pain, goodluck with that and your other homework!!
i'm sure everyone including me is procrastinating gcse revision so dw about that, my only motivation right now though is that we have only 108 days exactly which is making me stress because it's not actually that much time... so the stress is basically forcing me to revise and start now instead of regretting later 🙏 just remember that it's a lot better to at least do an hour everyday now after school, and it may not seem like a lot but trust me it'll help in the long term than starting a lot later. goodluck 🤍🤍
Heyyy

I’ve done 2 of the essays and will do the other 3 at the weekend

I have decided on my ‘technical skills’ dishes for my food nea2 and my final dishes as my first practical is next week

I still haven’t started on GCSE revision and keep procrastinating. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME MOTIVATIONNN 😭

I’ve got a pretty chill weekend so maybe I’ll start on some revision 🤞

Good luck for anyone else revising this weekend 🩶

well donee on making progress on your essays!!
oooo what dishes are you planning to make for your food tech nea??
GIRL WE ONLY HAVE 16 WEEKS GO REVISE 😤😤 but in all seriousness, 3 months sounds like agess, but thinking of it as 100 days and only like 15 weeks from now is barely anything... i've learnt that the only thing you'll get from procrastination is STRESS. i procrastinated a lott for my mocks and only properly started revising in the christmas holidays (my mocks started jan 4th) and i was seriously stressing and was burnt out by the end of it.
starting small with at least 30 mins to an hour revision sessions after school should be enough to get you into a habitual routine, i'm rooting for you good luckkk!! 💪

I’m taking my AS exams this year but jeez that 15 weeks thing is scary 😧

For GCSEs I think I started properly revising in Easter half term? Best to start early though. I had a study break for GCSEs so that helped too, if you get one make the most of it!!

by study break do you mean study leave? if yes, then yeahh we also have study leave, and what makes it even better is that our summer half term is right in the middle of our exam period 💪
