Has anyone made it to the final stage with AJ bell?

Yes, the assessment centre right? Have you received the aptitude questions yet? I have been waiting for a while.

Yeah I’m just waiting for the details of what day? How you feeling about the company overall. They told me there’s onlythe software development apprenticeship

When did you receive the aptitude questions? How did you reply to them (I just replied through the Smartr notification by email)? I feel like the company is very good, I like the fact you can buy more holiday and the work culture seems pretty good. I'm primarily searching for a software development apprenticeship, as that is what my interest is.

Yeah it does seem like a good company tbh. I’ve not received the questions by the way. I’m just looking for a company that will allow for progression and completing harder tasks rather than escalating tasks to a senior member or another team at times.

I’ve just done the phone interview and they said the assessment centre would be in person in Manchester, does anyone know the date of when it will be?

Has anyone been invited to the Barclays AC? They say it’s an AC but in the next email it just mentions a 70 minute interview. Can anyone who’s done it before let me know if the interview is the only activity

Haven't done mine yet but yes I believe it is a 70 minute interview only.

@Astray666 are you willing to give us any info on how the interview runs? It's a long one so are they firing questions at you the whole time? Or do they spend a good chunk of the time telling you about the company? Is it more of a two way conversation or more formal? Is it with one interviewer or more? Any insight to share?

Hiiii, I'm in year 12 and I hope to get an apprenticeship similar to yours after my A levels. I'm not sure if my question is relevant but do you know where I can find work experience for computer science/IT?? I've been struggling to find some.

Hi mate, it's my experience:
One interviewer
It is kind of firing questions all the time, you have to be good at taking time with the questions.
Barely anything about the company unless you ask them at the end.
It is quite formal I would say.
It questions about your self, experience, why you are applying and a bit about the company itself.

Thanks that's really helpful! I like the idea of taking time with the questions - I'll definitely keep that in mind. Did yours take the whole 70 mins?
