How's your CV? Make sure it looks good and you have lots of short courses, relevant work experience and volunteering etc on there. Prepare answers for as many possible interview questions as you can - always have a really good example of a time you worked in a team! Apply to smaller companies - JP Morgan had over 2000 applicants and 4 stages, some of the smaller ones are straight to interview and don't involve stupid personality tests, pattern recognition, ice breakers or team tasks. Apply for ones in less populated locations - likely to be a lot of applicants for any in London or other huge city. I applied to about 35 too and finally got one recently after a lot of interviews and a lot of knock backs. They are very competitive.

im speaking having 4 offers currently and I would immediately say dont apply to small companies. I received one and instantly rejected them. They usually dont provide proper support and the pay is usually bad. Ive never heard anyone had a good experience with small companies. As for the location one i agree with that, other cities like manchester or birmigham are usally less competitive. Lastly, i would say that CV doesnt matter too much since it is just scanned by AI to see if you are half decent so you can go thru to the next stage. If you keep getting rejected at AC, I would look into interview prep and some prewritten answers to certain interview questions and group discoussion. PM me if you need any help.

yh great advice. I have 5 offers aswell and I think the most hardest stage is the hirevue interview. Thats where most people get taken out. I would recommend scripting the most common questions and practice and practice. Cant emphasise on how important practice is. If you need help, dm me.

I disagree with only applying to big companies, by far my worst experience (applying) was with a big company (Barclays) they totally messed us around and the whole process was a shambles, really poorly organised. IMO it really didn't bode well for the actual apprenticeship. One of my best experience was with Rowe IT a small, family run specialist software engineering company in Plymouth where the degree part is done with a great uni (Exeter). I would have taken them over Barclays any day.

I agree aswell, I heard its better to go to a small company as your more likely to learn a lot more.

Not many of them have been released for next year's cohort yet so I would keep looking over the next few weeks and months. I would say September - Feb is the busiest time for applications opening, some are released later than that.
