hi yes i am!! i had no clue about gateway and that i’m even eligible for it but it seems like a really good idea as i didn’t get the grades i needed for medicine! do you have any idea of the success rates for offers in gateway? st andrew says im eligible for a “guaranteed offer” i have no idea what that means lol

It really isn’t, if ur eligible you’ll get a guaranteed interview

just prepare like you would for a normal medicine interview they basically ask the same questions & I don’t think they mark personal statements so obviously try but how good it is doesn’t really matter compared to normal med

Do you know how many places universities have I heard for Glasgow they have 40 places

Dundee had 25 spaces it does show this on their websites

In Aberdeen we have 30 spaces on our gateway course. We hope to get all our decisions out before the end of the week.

Yes you are very welcome to along. It will be medicine focussed and nothing specifically for g2m (we will arrange an online catchup in the summer). But come along so you can experience the day in a life of a medical student so you know what to expect after G2M!

Hi, I just wanted to ask how many people typically receive offers, how many are placed on the waiting list, and how the waiting list works. Is it based on a ranking system?

Aw would have liked to do this but sadly exams start next week (2 in one week arghhh including the Higher chemistry needed to get into the course...) and so cannot really manage to get there but wish there was something after May
