BT1 v BT9 Accomodation for 1st Year Non International Students

Hello, I have been offered accommodation in BT1 for this coming year (2023). I wanted to stay at BT9 as I was told on my visit that most 1st year students tend to stay at BT9 and I wanted to feel part of that 1st year community.
Also when I visited it seemed to be mainly international students at BT1.
Does anyone have any idea on the split of 1st & other year students at BT1 and also the split of Local v International Students.
