Grant Thornton Audit School Leaver 2024

Yess i took an unexpected gap year due to how the apprenticeship I got was outside my city (brain fart moment 😂) cos of how stressed I was during exam season last year, but omggg it so much better as doing the applications is less stressful and that why I feel like I'm doing so good this year (finger crossed 😭).

I applied to Ey Weeeeks ago so it should be a decent sign, I just checked and I did the EY one 3.5 weeks ago which is a decent time but omg 3 days is Vicious. Mazars for me is probs the best experience so far with GT as they are very quick but I remember I applied last year thinking they are small firm and doing my assessment in my school free and boy was I wrong I regret the way I treated this big boii applications last year. BDO is my only rejection so far and it cos of my maths silly old me haha didn't even like them anyways! I did the school leaver roles but I might as well do my ucas so I'm just gonna do my UCAS half assed just as a backup cos I'm going full force with these applications.

I guess u gotta have to grind for KPMG, but it not BBB it acc BBC/104 ucas points cos i applied with the wrong predicted grades last year i got into the second stage so I'm not sure, but if they drop don't be disheartened but i think if u get E/U's then they cant take you, B'S and C's are fine dwww.

I just checked and i did the Deloitte one 1.5 weeks ago so I just want to know how long they rejected you?

Omg Yeahh, I can only imagine how stress free you are rn, I’m currently doing a Beazleys Finance assessment rn cus I didn’t have time today😔, this one is very odd cus they record you the whole time so u don’t cheat 😭😭. But yeah no wonder your doing extremely well, I rlly don’t wanna do a gap year so I’m pushing myself, my older sister is currently doing a gap year because she changed her mind for her uni choices so she declined all her offers .
im very confident u did well for EY, 3 weeks is a drag 🤣🤣🤣 I think you should go for the UCAS PwC aswell if you meet the entry requirements, it doesn’t hurt to try.

really ?? I’ve seen ppl say it’s BBB maybe I’m wrong I’m just gonna try get BBB but if I end up getting a little drop I wouldn’t mind and I don’t think they would either. They took 4 long arse weeks to reject me, literally got rejected like 2 days ago and I did the assessment arounf the end of September so you still have a long wait ahead🫠

I'm lowkey stress free other than my job, but im exactly your sister as I realised how much I hated my degree and can't bare to do 3 years of it LOLLL. I did the beazley one along time ago I Acc forgot abt it but I don't remember the recording part lolll. Yhh but try ur hardest but if u don't get any don't be disheartened as there always other options.
Yhh 3 weeks is I lowkey want EY cos it a degree and the office is soo nice (the best out of the big 4 in my opinion), but I might aswell apply to PwC but it not even a real apprenticeship as u still have to pay uni fees and the jobs isn't even guaranteed so oh well!

Hmmmm I'm not sure but u should aim for 120 Ucas points as they kinda want that but if it drops just email then and I'm sure if they like you they wouldn't mind, 4 week!?!?!? How long ago did u apply lol, I just realised how I'm legit so late to applying to deloitte cos of how they rejected me at the beginning ughh.

Hope you get into EY🙏🏾🙏🏾 I’ve visited only KPMG and PwC and I like the KPMG office, but obviously I need to visit all of them first😭, definitely aiming for 120 UCAS points but if not then only a slight drop to 114. Not trying to scare you but Deloitte literally reject ppl because there is no more space so hopefully you didn’t apply too late 😭 I applied in late September girl I think as soon as they opened

Ohhh nooooo, I legit appplied as soon as it opened but they rejected me cos of a stupid mistake by them 😬! Oof I applied mid October that doesn't sound too promising but we will see, I think my digital assessment was alright but whatever.
Thank you (hope you get KPMG), but KPMG is the closest to my house so I really don't mind tbh. Yes 120 is the goal as it will let u be able to go into pretty much all apprenticeships except a few.
Also this is not to scare you but the big 4 are slashing a lot of jobs for graduates as they don't have the funds to pay them which is kinda making it more competitive!

They also rejected my friend because of a mistake on their side but she said she’s not gonna apply again. KPMG posted on LinkedIn that they’re opening soon so I’m gonna prepare for that. Yeah I heard about the redundancies lately, it’s really sad tbh it’s kinda putting me off working there but I just want experience with a Big 4 so then when I leave, I’m a better person to employ, I wanna do internal audit in JP Morgan like let’s say 15 years from now

Really?!? I'm prideful but i wouldnt miss the chance to apply again even tho it looks like I'm a beg 😂 - but fr same I want to feel what it like to be in the big 4 and then move to the other top 10 firms later down the line and become a partner there! Can't wait to apply to KPMG since I already got some practice, just got an email recently saying I passed the group stage for GT and now I have a interview with the partner there so kinda excited but boy it been a long 3 months!

Yeah I agree, I want experience as a big 4 auditor so I can move away to become something better, and I wanna travel aswell to have some experience working in a few other countries like Singapore, US, maybe Hong Kong and South Africa, or maybe I’m just being delusional 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nahh same plan ass meee, also i really want to go into real estate just so i can travel a lot and kinda be rich and always going to nice places lol 😭😭 but ur defo no being delullu (unlike me haha).

I’m glad I helped u out, although I didn’t take my advice I like helping others out even though I may have failed. My friend recently got a 250k a year deal in a lux real estate company with no experience (she had a mentor and she had to do other things in order to get this opportunity) but it’s deffo doable if u wanna get into real estate, or you could do your apprenticeship and maybe Airbnb on the side aswell to make extra money!

It will be much appreciated but im sure your dream apprenticeship is waiting cos the dedication you have is real I gave up after about 15 rejections 😭. oH DAMNNN that so cool is your friend doing an apprenticeship route or what?!? I've always wanted to start a AirBnb company and doing a real estate apprenticeship I'm applying to 5 sectors so hopefully get 1 real estate apprenticeship!

Yeah fingers crossed I get a great offer soon, I’ve already passed 15 rejections but I’m still alive at the end of the day😫😫😫. It’s not an apprenticeship it’s literally a full time job but she will be able to get qualifications (so ig it’s an apprenticeship??) hopefully you get into one

Same I just finished it now so I was just trying to find threads about it, apparently they’re all different case studies but it’s not hard at all, what I had to do was compose an email and report the data back to the company, you basically identify what’s going well for the business (in my case was how the business was expanding, they opened new shops etc), what’s challenging for the business (in my case the competitors had higher profitability) and You had to talk about how to ensure the data was accurate and finally you just ask to discuss further details at a meeting (which was my case) I’m pretty sure they all follow that kind of structure, hope this helps and good luck, btw u need to type fast because the 22 minutes go by fast
