Are contextual GCSEs used for Oxford admissions in 2023?

I'm applying to History and the admissions information says they weren't used last year or the year before so is this going to continue??

Probably not. They cancelled cGCSEs due to the poor standardisation of teacher-assessed GCSEs during covid. I would expect them to continue using them again, as this is no longer an issue. They have always considered GCSEs in the context in which they were achieved, they just didn't trust them to be reliable enough during those years to use in admissions.

Possibly - for medicine they indicated they are considering contextualised GCSEs again, although it sounded initially like they would not.

Assume they might consider them.
