I am literally hanging by a thread with school I swear like why is my school only ending on the Friday before Christmas😭 What am I going to do for 2 weeks in January😭 I'm literally just going to be revising tho😭 On a happy note my sister is coming over soon for a couple of weeks (she goes to KCL uni for medicine) so I can mess around with her.
I've made a little revision path to follow cuz otherwise I have no idea what I'm doing haha:
UNDERSTANDING
APPLYING
I really want to become one of those maths tutors like in a Crash Course in Romance for some reason

I've made a little revision path to follow cuz otherwise I have no idea what I'm doing haha:
UNDERSTANDING
1.
Get an idea of what I'm learning (skim through the textbook/pencil answers in workbook)
2.
Create notes on key concepts (cornell notes, mindmap, add post stick notes to textbook, drawings)
3.
Make a mind map out of the concepts, linking ideas and using images
4.
Flashcard KEY (details and relationships) with links to the textbook page/ Youtube videos
5.
Teach the concepts (without your notes!) to identify gaps = use drawings, simplify language, link to the bigger picture
1.
Complete textbook/workbook questions/past papers under timed conditions
2.
Correct using markscheme and flashcard wrong answers, highlight weaker topics
3.
Spaced repetition flashcards (do flashcards in between daily routine)

It's finally the weekend, only one more week of school left! 😤
I went to the german market yesterday with ma famille which was fun - the lights were really pretty, I can't wait for Christmas🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻 I've also watched up to ep 7 of My Demon and the mc was shot 😭 but there's 16-7=9 episodes left so I think they'll be fine
I'm actually feeling pretty lazy this morning ngl but I also want to have completed something by the end of this weekend so here's my to do list for this weekend:
I'm actually kinda disappointed in myself though this week because I got 28/40 on my creative writing test which is really sad😭😭😭 but yk this is what this blog is for - failing and learning from it (tryna motivate myself)

Coming back to TSR and now ITS PURPLE??!!! Why do I always come back to some dramatic change on TSR istg 🤣

i’m in year 9, and aiming for all 9s at gcses too so hi, have you chosen your gcses?
also it’s crazy how the highest answer on the poll is burning out but still going (that’s what I put…)
omg seeing y9s having gygs and organising their own revision makes me so proud for some reason 😭💔 i'm in y11 right now and i definitely know that i wasn't as productive or academically driven compared to you and lots of other y9s on here.
i remember telling someone else this, but just to give you some advice, make sure you keep this motivation for revision throughout y10 and y11!! the mistake i did was slacking off in y10 and falling asleep in almost every lesson (because my sleep schedule was messed up 💀) and not knowing like half the content of some subjects, especially english, making me deeply regret those times. y10 is actually the most important year since you learn over half the content of gcses, so make sure you keep your academic motivation until the end of gcses and i will guarantee that you'll ace them with all 9s 💪💪

28/40 for creative writing is what i got on my english lang y11 mocks... so at your stage, you're doing incredibly well, by also knowing you can improve from it, be proud of yourself 🤍

Hiiiiiiii, it's so nice to see another year 9 reaching for the stars with moi. We haven't chosen GCSEs yet but I'm thinking Spanish, Business Studies, Computing and Geography.
The poll results are actually really interesting because most of my class say that year 9 is "going great but they don't really understand the teacher anymore" but I guess a lot of us are actually feeling burnt out
I hope you guys can take a couple of weeks off (maybe get a hobby eg. cooking, songwriting, art) and feel better soon!!! 🙃💨(I don't have the rolling emoji anymoreeee)

The falling asleep thing is so relatable tho me and my Y8 desk partner use to sleep, eat and fall asleep in english cuz we were at the back🤣

Obviously it's been 3 weeks and ikikikikik
but it was also nice to take a bit of a break (watching miraculous season 5 why am I still obsessed)So guys my sleep schedule is extremely whack rn I slept at 12.30 yesterday but I have to go to sleep at at least 10 today CUZ I HAVE SCHOOL TMRW 😱😱😱 which is not something I'm looking forward to but yk us students have to stay strong💪
SO SAY IT WITH ME - we are going to
1.
Do some exercise to keep that blood flowing
2.
Finish those 20 assignments I know you have
3.
Demolish a banana (or any other fruit) and keep a glass of water nearby
4.
Plan your revision (I'm recently trying to do 2 or 3 days just focused on one subject cuz I'm so much more focused that way)
5.
Fill out forms due tmrw and organise your bag
6.
Sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzz EARLY

im honestly hung up on whether I should take drama and history or both history and geography lol. it’s not going good because I overthink too much, but your subjects sound good!
