update!!: my subject specialist went through my personal statement face-to-face - she rly enjoyed it but there are some changes i need to make ! how progressive are you all with your uni applications (if you are in year 13)? if youve applied already, have you gotten any offers and what unis did you apply to? just let me know ! (@flowersinmyhair @rowan_willow @kayleigh_t.27 @thrivingfrog @toothysmile @erin11 @Jieay20 ❤️ 🫶)

I know a ton of people who have had offers!!! My deadline for ucas submission is next week which is scary. How are you finding the process?? It’s really awesome to hear it’s going well for you, best of luck <3333

friday 10th november 2023
happy fri-yay! to me, this week has gone by so quickly, in my opinion! also, i apologise for not posting a lot in terms of what im actually doing at school! these are the tasks i have for this weekend:

FRIDAY

psychology: read the two neural articles

spanish: write a summary on El laberinto del fauno

sociology: watch massolit lectures on situational preventions of crime + take notes

spanish: complete kerboodle task, write a title for the reading activity, prepare for a translation test

as you might be able to realise, these are all pieces of hw that i rly want to get done today !

for the rest of the weekend, i want to balance revision for in-class assessments which are going to be used for tracking! in my school, tracking is when they send out reports to you and parents of your current attaining grades, and teachers may use assessments to determine the grade they think you are currently at. so these are the assessments i have coming up:

14th November: sociology 'religion as a conservative force' essay (30 marks)
15th November: psychology 16 marker on aggression (excludes ethological explanations as a possibility)
16th November: psychology 16 marker on measuring stress
16th November: spanish translation test on Franco's dictatorship
21st November: psychology end-of-topic aggression test

and then i have mocks in jan ☹️ so i have to balance that on top of my assessments! its okay not the end of the world

yay! let me know if you guys have any assessments/exams coming up!

My mocks are also in January but its not too bad because it gives us the christmas and new year break to revise (other than christmas obv hehe) we're all gonna smash these mocks and itll put us in a really good position heading into the new year 😀

also i agree this week has gone sooooo quick but maybe its because I've been stressing over getting my uni stuff out and away from me so i dont have to stress over it anymore loll

I've never really done homework on a Friday evening, I find it is sometimes better just to give myself a rest so then I can be productive later. You should make sure you are planning in rest otherwise you are going to burnout.
