For the comparisons of approaches, what points would you all make? I was just thinking of doing the ones from issues and debates (determinism/free will, nature/nurture, holism/reductionism and idiographic/nomothetic) but i've seen a few websites talk about the explanation of disorders and childhood development and stuff? Those all sound too specific imo so im just wondering if they're really gonna be worth learning.

determinism/free will,reductionism/holism,practical apps,methodology,scientific methods

it depends on the exact marks you get.

so if you get the lowest possible C + the lowest possible A in paper2 and paper 3, then you get a
B. but if the C is middle ground, and a couple marks into an A for P2 and P3, then you can get bang on an A>

so it is possible, but depends on the way you get the marks

going off 2023 grade boundaries, getting two middle marks in the b in two of the papers and the lowest c in paper 1 will give u bang on a b. and these were the highest grade boundaries yet.

so going off on the 2023 boundaries, if i get a high C and high B’s can i get an A or will it still get me a B?

unfortunately, i dont think so. it will still be a B. In order to get an A in 2023, you needed 194 marks out of 288.

If you go for high B's, two of them, it'd be one or two marks off the boundary for an A, so from 2023 paper grade boundaries, paper 1 high C around 48.
it says in Paper 2 you need 65/96 for an A. So, high B will be around 62.
For Paper 3, you needed 68 marks for an A, so a high B would be around 65 marks.

so, if you total those marks, itll be 185, which is nine marks away from an A.

but remember these were really inflated grade boundaries so In Shaa Allah they'll be lower this year. in 2019, 181/288 was an A. so have hope for sure, In Shaa Allah you will get an A

In terms of the sleep cycle as an example for an ultradian rhythm, the only weakness I have is the issue of individual differences - There’s significant variation between people. Tucker et al (2007) found large differences between participants in terms of the duration of each sleep stage, particularly stages 3 and 4. Tucker et al suggested that these differences are likely to be biologically determined. This makes it difficult to describe ‘normal sleep’ in any meaningful way

can someone tell me whether i can evaluate lab experiments by saying that it alligns with the nomothetic approach as you can make general laws of behaviour as it was done in a controlled environment therefore we can be certain of cause and effect relationship between iv and dv
