Like you had a devastating diagnosis and there is nothing you can do about it? I just wish I could forget it.

I hope you get better. All the best

Yes

So I don't get it....you've spoken about this many times so you already know you have it and you say you love it...this isn't new info. Unless you've been told something else which you didn't know.

The genetic condition comes with a load of problems, it's not just a height and weight problem. The point is I didn't want to know at the time and these things can affect our mental health even more. There are aspects which I love like I can be low in weight and look anorexic thin for the rest of my life, and I can be of a lower weight than everyone else and be fine but at the same time I hate my condition because it comes with a load of problems like there's a decrease brain volume for those with my condition and a load more other things. You don't need to have all the symptoms but I have majority. I was also taken the **** out of when I was in secondary school when people called me a space raider alien and people told me to grow, I didn't know I had it then but now it's just offensive.

If you have a genetic condition it is devastating because there is nothing you can do about it, and telling you about it so late in your life when the treatment you should have got should have been as a child is not going to change things. I would rather not know.

At the same time, if I had to pick a genetic disorder it's my genetic disorder, it's the best one you can have. Of course there are loads of genetic disorders affecting weight and causing dwarfism but people with mine look normal and it causes more normal symptoms. Like people who were born small for their age would go through what I go through but I go through more, as in fasting hypoglycemia, short in stature and build, constipation, indigestion, gastroesophagus reflux disease, low weight all don't seem so bad compared to other way worse conditions out there.

My genetic condition is putting me off going back to college and doing A Levels, knowing I could have a decrease brain volume and should have realised this from my GCSEs (though they are better than most people) and makes me think I am not clever enough despite getting good AS Level grades.

It can have devastating impacts on my life if I wasn't told, well I dealt with hypogpycemic episodes without knowing, I dealt with problems with my digestive system. I didn't know I had problems with my digestive system when I put on weight. The only dangerous part to my condition is the hypoglycemic episodes that I dealt with since I was 8 and starting to go through puberty and it could be part of the puberty process for people like us. I didn't need to know all of this, I would have lived my life the way I wanted to live it. Halfway through the day in college I used to buy myself Lucozade and sweets due to the hypoglycemic episodes, I didn't need to know that I needed glucose tablets, that fasting makes the hypos worse, that I burn my sugar faster than the average person, that fever and vomiting will have an impact on blood sugar and being extremely lethargic to the point where I need to rely on my parents and I felt like I was going to die. This made me scared of vomiting. I literally memorised the science and genetics and everything there is to know about it. I thought I had 7/8 problems turns out I got more than 30. There's a problem with every system in the body.

I don't want to see any mental health therapist, all of them are judgemental and racist. They say they aren't but they are. I tried other people.

The point is I can't un-know this condition now can I?

If you find yourself struggling to forget something that brings you pain or sadness, it may be helpful to distract yourself with other activities, such as drawing or listening to uplifting music. While it may be difficult to completely forget something that has had a significant impact on you, it is important to prioritize your own well-being. If you find that you cannot move past these feelings on your own, it may be beneficial to seek PROFFESIONAL HELP OR A DOCTOR.Remember to take care of yourself and your mental health, rather than worrying about whether or not someone is RACIST

When someone is struggling, it's crucial to be mindful of the impact your response can have on them. Sending irrelevant replies can make them feel unheard and unsupported, which can exacerbate their struggles. It's important to take the time to listen and understand their situation before responding. Showing empathy and offering practical help can go a long way in making them feel valued and cared for. Remember, small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life.
