I know i know

just spoilt the book for myself now

(i couldnt wait for the amazon order to come through...so i bought the adult edition from asda [amazon=kid's ed which i'll sell in a few years as an untouched 1st ed:yy:])
Doubt you'll get much for it - they've printed about 10 copies of the first edition for each person on the planet.

What is happening to our thread which used to be so hyper active at one point? I'm still here and fighting to get in but i need support :p: Minimo let's get on a mission to bring 2005 students back on here!
Lurkers dont be afraid, you can be as random as you want all students on this thread are lovely and just want to know you better! so just voice your opinion or any thoughts you might have, even if they seem extremly random!

I think they're all busy reading Harry Potter or something, Vanessa.
Or maybe they're being all active doing... outside sunny stuff. Fools. :P

*googles butterbeer*
Urgh, that sounds grim. I've heard of butterbeer before, but I didn't think it was actually going to be a mixture of butter and beer! Why did you even try it, couldn't you tell it was going to be awful just from reading the ingredient list?

there is no beer in it:eek:

Ingredients:

* 1 pint (0.57 litres) vanilla ice cream (softened)
* 1/2 stick butter (softened)
* 1/3 cup brown sugar
* 2 tsp. of cinnamon
* 1 tsp. grated nutmeg
* 1/4 tsp. ground clove
* 1 imperial quart (1.1 litre) apple cider

Directions:

1. Cream butter, sugar and spices together.
2. Beat in the vanilla ice cream.
3. Re-freeze the mixture.
4. Scoop out the frozen mixture into a glass.
5. Pour hot Apple cider over the ice cream mixture.

Optional: add an ounce (30 g) of rum for an adult treat.

We were bored and used toffee ice cream and creme soda instead of vanilla ice cream and apple cider, and added some homemade butterscotch to it too. I only had a sip and almost :puke:

Oh. I think the website I found must be a joke then, trying to trick people into making what they had which was:

1. Warm root beer.
2. Mix in single cream and melted butter well.

What you have doesn't actually sound so bad, but i'll take your word that it's not worth trying.

Rowling invented. She's not exactly a chef is she? On the other had, had you-know-who invented it, people might actually find themselves enjoying that devil's brew.
