That's not exactly unheard of in books written about history or whatever, you know.
Then the point stands. Read the bigger one, or the one with the longest bibliography.

I wasn't saying anything about your advice. I was taking issue with the suggestion that because we do science we obviously know nothing about differing opinions etc. between different authors.
It is less pervasive than in the arts though, you must admit...

Even if it was non-existent, that wouldn't mean that anyone doing science was entirely ignorant of bias and differing opinion in other subjects.
