My accent changes... its east London with the family... raher more refined at school... i pushed all the stops out for my cambridge interviews... i use my more refined accent for most things conecrning people i don't know... it sounds pretentious but its unintentional.

I would quite easily pick up an accent at cambridge... even in the few short weeks we are there.
it's not altogether weird...i completely understand hehe...for my interview i also used a more refined accent, since i have a very welsh accent (i never noticed myself but my friends think it's funny...) which seems to get worse when drunk...

lol very true But I mean I don't seem to have a northern irish accent which I don't really mind because I'm not too fond of that accent!
But why? It's so beautiful

Could be a problem if you speak in the Scouse accent in Manchester and the mancunian accent in L'pool!

- I actually really like the sound of welsh accents

Also the 2004 thread was started in the september _after_ you've met offers and stuff. You guys are keen, but I bet you can't post as fast...

It is just being realistic I'm afraid...

AFAIK no-one on TSR missed their Cambridge offer last year though...

Hi,

thought I'd say hello on this thread, I'm coming to Downing for Law, and I was going to come in 2005...except now they're sending me to a californian college for a year (yay!) so I won't be coming till 2006 and won't meet any of the TSR Downing people till then. But as its a long time till a 2006 thread arrives I'll post here anyway :hello:

Emily
Wow - I was considering applying for the year there, but then decided not too. On the down side, we won't be in the same year

Anyway, on to my introduction...

I'm Vass, and I'm going to Downing to do Law this October. Any other Downing lawyers about?

I'm 17 and I was born in Bulgaria. I've lived in York for the past 4 years or so, before which I used to live in Guildford.

I'm currently doing English Lit, History and Maths at A Level, and finished my French and German A Levels last year.

So there's a brief little bio - look forward to seeing all you guys in October!
