I'll play you? (I'm not very good at all - thugh I did say on my PS I'd played in a local league - I didn't mention it was once and we lost!)

Real Tennis, is a really old version, played on an indoor court with wooden raquets and a hard ball. The game involves not only getting the ball over the net, but also bouncing it off the walls which have all sorts of bits on them to make it more interesting - never played myself but it looks fun
Oki I'm up for it even though I'll need a bit of practice before that Havent played in ages! By the way Real Tennis sounds just like Squash to me

I won't practice if you don't!!

It is like squash, except there's a net, and the ball isn't soft rubber (and the walls aren't altogether flat. see http://www.real-tennis.com/game/main.html - I've just learnt all about it from that site!

I can play squash as well (though even worse than I can tennis  )

But not making any friends in the process. Though you don't really make many friends with the antics of some drinking societies.

How about this:    http://groups.msn.com/camnat/home.htm :p: (Not, as far as I am aware an official society, but....)

Don't worry, I found this by chance when searching for societies - I am not inclined to join said group!

Honest

This thread is a great idea...

My name is Justin Hutcherson and birthday is 22-08-87
I am British, live on the N-E border of London and Essex in a town called Ilford.
I am stat school and have an offer to study THEOLOGY at JESUS COLLEGE. AAB which is lower than usual... i applied through CSAS which explains the lowering of offer.
My social life (depressingly) is arranged around my school friends. I like going out to clubs... round friends... the usual stuff. Incidently if you hear my name feel free to buy me a drink and it will be a JD.
other interests include politics (socialist), religion (quaker), riding (horses, though rarely theses days), reading (anything that isn't mills and boon).
Haven't exactly got a sporty Physique (to put it mildly), but certainly up for a laugh and not afraid of hard work... so yes i want to row.
I listen to indie, rock, punk, classical (mainly choral)... and anything else that takes my fancy!
I don't drive as yet... but am eyeing a nice cambridge style bicycle for purchase!
I want to be a barraster... or government lawyer.
I am officialy working class, and quite proud of the fact. And yes the first in my family to go to uni.

that is about it, feel free to ask questions!

Justin

well i was told that previously french people had to name there child after one of the 365 names on the french calander printed in our french books... and i assumed it was based on the saints days... catholics sometimes have a secondbirthday on there saints day... i am not wuite that lucky.

But this could have been rubbish

Gonville and Cauis - Land Economy.

My name is Noel Cochrane, and my birthday 21/05/87. I live about 30 minutes away from Manchester city centre, near a place called "Leigh". I attend my local sixth form centre, where I study Economy, Geography, chemistry and genral studies (complusory ) Working hard to get my Chemistry upto an A, as i got a B last year, and I'm not really a scientist.
Aim hobby is horse riding, I have my own horse which I compete upto international level. Also like most racquet sports, mainly table tennis and badminton. Regulary go out clubbing and plubbing with mates, where I am reknown for not being able to stop myself from dancing lol. Into a variety of music, Micheal jackson, Eminem and many more (truely accletric). I have a huge crush on Gwen Stefani at the moment.
Favourite food is Ben and Jerreys Ice cream and anything with chicken in it. I have passed my driving test and have a peugeot 106. I will also be the first person in my family to go to university, and am really lucking forward to hopefully studying at Cambridge. Any questions just ask.

P.s. Land Economy is NOT a doss subject!

Noel, I already adore u man :p: hehe with such compliment u better be nice to me next year

Hmm well I'm not aware of this but my family is not religious and actually only a little proportion are in my area... I for myself only have a birthday and the only reason why my name is Vanessa is nto becasue of a Saint but because it's an international name and this I'm frnech and scotish my parents needed a name that could be pronouced in both languages without difficulty... wow how exiting , right... :p:
