Feeling sad about leaving school/uni

This may sound like a bit of a silly problem but recently I've been feeling really sad because its hit me that my life will never be the same as it was when I was younger and at school etc.

It started yesterday when I saw my younger cousin's new facebook photos. Shes 16 and has just left school so she'd posted loads of pictures from the 'Muck Up' day where everyone dressed up and signed eachothers books and shirts. It really brought back memories of the day I left school and did all that, then I just wondered where all that time had gone. I'm 21 now and in my last year of uni. Although I didn't like school that much (HATED it sometimes!) I keep finding myself wishing I could go back. Not just for being at school, but for the friends I had and the places we used to go and my family life. A lot has changed since then and I don't speak to loads of my old friends coz we just drifted apart.

When I leave uni, that will be it and it won't ever be the same. I'll get a job and have to be a responsible adult lol. Does anyone ever wish that they could go back? I felt much more safe at school than I do now. I just feel so sad that a huge chunk of my life has now gone and I can never get it back.
I know what you mean.Im 17 and loveeeeee it and I dont ever wanna grow any older.
I guess theres no point crying over spilt milk because no matter how much whining/moaning or crying you do, you'll never be able to retrieve the milk from the drain!!
I know what you mean. I am dreading leaving uni in 1 1/2 half years. My Asperger Syndrome stops me from having a normal life, but I still try to do what I can. I even work/live on campus during the summer, because it haunts me to go back home. When I leave campus accommodation forever in 1 1/2 years I guess I will move back in with my mum and dad.

I left college a year and a half ago, and I still look back and wish it was like it was back then. I don't like the fact things will never be like that again. Even though I'm now first year at uni, love it to pieces, got loads ahead of me, I still miss college.
I doubt this will receive any reply, but I wandered across this as I'm curiously thinking about the same thing whilst currently in my first year at university. OP, what do you make of your original post now?

Hence why I included the clause 'I doubt this will receive any reply'.
