Bad Y11 predicted grades

I did a recent exam for my triple sciences, maths and I got grade 5 in physics, chemistry and maths except a grade 8 predicted in biology. I plan on applying to the best sixth forms near me for a level biology and chemistry but I’m not sure if I can get a place with my low chemistry and maths predicted grades, but I know I can get 7-8s for gcse. I have a lot of pressure on me and people keep telling me a bad predicted grade means you have no chance of getting into the top colleges. Is this true?? Are predicted grades that important or does gcse grades matter more I dont know what to do
I am a gcse Student Right now myself, but I genuinely have never met someone who has gotten what they were predicted. Definitely apply to some back up schools though. I’m my school you apply and they will most likely give you an offer even if you are a grade lower predicted than the requirements either the expectation and condition you will get what you need in the actual exams.

This happened to me and when I went to my interviews they asked me if I feel I have improved at all since the mocks, also, act really determined and act as if you are working really hard (which i'm sure you are) and they are often more keen to let you in if they see you have potential, if you have done smaller tests recently where you have achieved high marks, slip those in.
