Hi!
It really all depends on what part of English you like better, the grammar and linguistics or literature and writing. I would say that the experience of studying one or the other will be different, but in terms of employment I don't think that there is a rule. It all really depends on your interest, passion and your level of commitment.
I would say also research the modules that are being offered on each of the programmes.
