LSE & Oxbridge Courses for IB

I take Econ, Maths and French and I'm targeting and expected A*A*A*. Would it be better for me to do straight economics or finance at a less targeted uni, since most targets strongly prefer FM, or to try and do a more unrelated course at a very well regarded uni such as LSE. If so, what sort of courses would be suitable for me to consider?
Investment banking analyst positions don't care what subject your degree was in. You can do Egyptology at Cambridge, Sanskrit at Oxford, Viking and Old Norse Studies at UCL, anthropology at LSE and still have as good a chance at getting into investment banking as if you did economics at any of those. And a better chance than doing economics or finance at a non-target uni.
