hey i wanted to ask you something , you said you take higher maths and further maths ..
what does higher maths mean , is it just higher set maths?

Hi!
Higher maths basically means set 1 maths, so it's separate from further maths. However, some people at lower sets can take higher maths - it just means you can aim for a grade from 5-9, but for foundation maths the maximum you get is a grade 5 (at least in my school).
10/11/23 - NO MORE EXAMS FOR THE NEXT ONE WEEK YIPPEEEEE!

My tasks for today:

Finish geography homework

Finish up some maths homework

Finish language homework

11/11/23 - Happy Remembrance Day 😊

My tasks for today:

Make mindmaps for english

Finish of maths homework

12/11/23 - I'm quite relaxed today, because I just remembered.....NO MORE EXAMS!

My tasks for today:

Continue mindmaps for english

Continue finishing off maths homework

I firmly believe that the best way to learn is by seeking out knowledgeable and intelligent individuals who dedicate themselves to their studies. With that in mind, I'm proud to say that I have been studying Set 1 Maths for my entire life, and I am confident in my abilities. Your username suggests that everything I need to know . Jealousy is a hell of a drug.

At least the weather is a very nice excuse to not go outside, and to do work. If it has to be done, do what it takes.

If blocking websites is what it takes to get the work done, do it.

Good luck!

Yes haha, I now have this excuse to use for the next few months, so I'll be able to get a good amount of work done!

Yea, I've blocked youtube to start off with (when I don't use it for learning purposes) as it's a bit much sometimes.

Block other websites as well. Do what it takes.

It's a very good excuse - use it wisely. But don't be complacent - that can increase procrastination.

CHRISTMAS! My fav time of the year!

I'm seriously impressed you like chemistry - it's so hard! What is your best tip to study for it?

Yes! I love sharing the christmas excitement, now just over a month until the day comes!

I do enjoy chemistry a lot (I'd like to take it for a level now, because physics is way harder for me and biology is out of the question lol) even though at times it's so tough.

I'd say if you take the time to understand the content fully, you're halfway there to getting a good grade (mainly because you'd know what info to apply to what question, so it would be easier to grasp the concepts). And practice is the main bit to focus on, print or try questions from pmt, mme revise and past papers and ALWAYS take the time to mark them and keep a note of what you got wrong. I've noticed practicals + equations are a big deal in chemistry (by equations I mean how to work out relative formula mass or percentage abundance from isotopes) and in past papers there are always questions on practicals so know them well (stuff like control variables in the experiment and method).
