my brother on personal statement
is it a good idea to mention my brother on my person statemen as he was part of my motivation and fascination of the subject?

A bit vague. Depends on what the link is with the subject tbh.
e.g. Had a health condition so you researched a subject and intereacted with healthcare professionals dealing with it, yeah.

I think that this is fine, so long as you are very specific with how he has motivated you/ inspired you to pursue the course.

It's fine as a starting point, just avoid it being a mini bio of your family and get to the details of your suitability and motivation as quickly as you can.
