Easier break down of DAY 24 - probably most effective day + first time ive properly revised on a saturday

Did CHEM and BIO revision (mini mock on monday thought better to focus on the two)

Used primrose kitten for overview ill switch to another youtuber after exam as i dont think its that effective for me
1hr chem - going to do more tomorrow
30min- everything
30min- corrections

3hr biology - corrections tomorrow
2hr just going through flash cards once
1hr watching a video going over all content

tomorrow plan
watch chem video
go over missed content for bio and chem flashcards/catch up mini videos
DO PAST MINI PAPERS (most effective way to test learning would do today but tuckered out from bio)
(edited 1 year ago)
Wasnt able to go over sunday due to some things that happened felt underprepared for my tests
Bio was ok but chem was so bad skipped some questions
Havent done revision the past couple of days

One medical programme I am in OFFICALLY STARTED and I am really happy for it but its taken away from my
revision a bit so gonna figure out how to balance that as I have a mini psych test next monday
(edited 12 months ago)
Havent been online properly in the past week finished my programme it was fun worked on making a public health campaign did one as a group on obesity and also listened to other projects being presented and got to speak to a 4th year medical student
In terms of revision from around Tuesday managed to do 1 hour a day not the best but something
need to use today to optimal revision for psychology test on psychodynamic or humanistic 16 marker exam + watch videos on how best to structure a 16 marker

Well this is my gyg thingy ig
someone said it would be a good idea to make one so i did

PROBABLY GONNA DO 1 POST A DAY I USE THIS A LOT HOPING TO BE ENCOURAGED TO REVISE

Year 12- HALF TERM 1 PROBABLY DAY 15 OF ACTUAL REVISION BUT DAY 0 FOR REVISION IN HOLDAYS

(unserious school 3 diff exam boards)
Subjects- AQA PSYCHOLOGY
EDEXCEL CHEMISTRY
OCR A BIOLOGY

I plan to go into... MEDICINE (such a big shock)

I have a bunch of WEX/ EXTRACURRICULARS
literally doing work experience rn and the first week back i have a placement in a hospital so missing a week of school gonna do catchup next week so im not behind (2 weeks of holiday)
Currently contemplating doing an EPQ - but its not going to be useful to my life so IDK (anyone know any positive that arent lower offer cause for medicine its literally one school)

my gcses were somewhat of a realisation call
not too bad but not amazing or that competitive for medicine

GRADES
2 LOW A*
2 A
5 HIGH B
1 LOW B/HIGH C
(found around 15 med schools 14 5 year courses and 1 6 year course aka foundation year so yay)
+ I am contextual (POSTCODE ONLY) (IK way too much about the application process)

I would have to check but its closed now so i wouldnt look at that anyway a lot of programmes are actually closed now or some open at the beginning of January like sutton trust
I did research i looked on the websites for opportunities so that my gcses wouldnt affect my goals and i could have a competitive edge however if you go to a grammar school or private school it may be harder to find as opportunities are usually closed to those types of schools in terms of programmes however oxford uniq opened today so try that

Yeah I looked at quite a few and got rejected from like 3 Sutton trust also rejected me but I think going to a grammar school doesn’t help. Thanks though xx good luck with medicine
