Make Happen Institute/ Screenology Bristol

Hi, Does anyone has any experiences with Make Happen Master's? I have seen some adds about their courses, I am intrigued yet sceptical.

Hi! I’m on this course at the moment - and it’s great.
I’m in the first cohort. Although it’s ran by the Screenology film school in Bristol, the Masters is signed off by Plymouth Marjon University so it’s all legit.

The first module is kind of about how to “get out of your own way” as a creative - so you are really supported to do the work you want in a professional way. The second module we’ve just been working on is about engagement - so getting other people involved in your projects. That’s as far as we are at so far, but for me it’s been really positive and it’s helped me grow my practise (and business) a lot.

There’s also the opportunity to get a mentor who specialises in your field. This can be someone from outside the university staff, and you are encouraged to ask them yourself - though the university pays them.

The Sweden retreats are AMAZING - I just came back from our 2nd one last week, and it really gives you a chance to get to know the other people on your course, and develop your ideas.

If you have any other questions, I’m happy to answer 🙂

Hi, can you give us an update please?

I was a student a few years back and I didn't have a great experience, I hope they have changed since. Also just to put it out there, most of the positive reviews left on google and facebook were actually from student 'ambassadors' who were paid to promote the university and told to leave a review, and I know for a fact at least some of the students who left those reviews didn't mean them.

Hi there, I have accepted a place on this course. Would you be willing to expand on what didn't work for you on this course? I don't want to waste my money. Thank you

Yes I studied this programme and LOVED it! I had a dream to write a cookbook and during the year I wrote and published my own cookbook and launched my wellness brand offering retreats and events. I’ve now graduated and I can see that the programme has impacted the way I approach all my projects. If you have a project you want to make a reality then take the leap and join the course.
