How did you get on? I meant to ask, do you keep getting update emails from them? Mine are all the same, I seem to keep getting a generic email every Thursday saying :

“Your pre-employment checks are currently in progress and we will provide confirmation once these have been completed. If we require additional information from yourself with regards to the above we will advise you of this.”

I’ve got my occupational health appointment tomorrow which I’m feeling a bit nervous about. Hoping it all goes ok and I get an update on the pre employment stuff soon.

Yeah I get those update emails every Tuesday it’s been a month now.

I called them and was told my health questions had passed and DBS, references were done. So everything is done from my side i just have to wait.

Yeah same just want a start date too

I’m happy for you that everything is in place, at least you know that it’s just waiting on them to get things sorted. Fingers crossed we hear soon.

Hey all,
I'm still waiting for the results of PRVI (11th of Dec), so I'm still a bit far from PEC. However, I'm wondering what checks are being made regarding health checks. Who are they gonna contact? Is there any health condition that would disqualify me from an offer? I have a long term health condition (Osteoarthritis) and had a shoulder injury last year January, so I just hope they will find me fit to work. Any comments are welcome!

Hiya! I’ve had some time off work recently for my mental health. I was really worried as I thought this may go against me and I really want the job. I was given a provisional offer and on the pre employment checks it asks you to give info about any health conditions. If they need further info, they send a link to an online portal where you complete some questions and then from that, if needed you are given an occupational health appointment. I had mine last week and it was all ok, no issues and I’ve been cleared as fit for the job. They just chat through the form with you and ask if you need any adaptations / how you live with your condition. I’m Just waiting to hear from them now for a start date. This is just my experience with it all, other posters may have a different experience to me. Good luck with the PRVI results - it’s just such a long process but hopefully we all get there in the end!

Thank you for sharing your experience! I just had bad experiences in the past, as (non-officially) i think I've been rejected by a few places, due to having OA. They never admitted it, but gut feelings are almost right in most cases

Hi, I’ve applied for the Cumbria and Lancashire campaign. I got the provisional offer straight away too.
Yeah I’m hoping it will be 4 weeks but they don’t give much information on the online chat or emails when you ask DWP so it’s frustrating. I think my health check might be the one causing a bit of a delay but don’t know can only assume 🤷🏻*♀️

If you don’t mind me asking, what number was the campaign you applied on for Cumbria and Lancashire ?

They will eventually ring you and agree for a start date. Are you currently working?

Got a offer, just got to do ID check etc.

Quick question, did they have to speak to your current employer? I'd rather not tell them until I've got a start date.... hoping I can use my previous employer as I want to stay here until I have a start date really for financial stability.

Hi, yes I got my formal offer 3 weeks ago to start on 25th March but deferred this to 15th April for personal reasons. Everything is finally done 😅.
Hi folks, did your formal offer come from a mobile number from Critico/PageOne whom the Govt use for various communications? Missed it today

Good luck for the checks and i really hope and pray we hear a start date call from Dwp soon. Do let me know of any progress. I really need some positivity as im losing hope now.
Do you have any idea how long it takes? Ive read someone said it takes 6 weeks to 14 months 😵*💫 i don’t know what to do should I apply outside of civil service because its seems like a lost cause to me now.

Hi!
Please can you confirm if your start date did come in good time or not.
Thanks
I have received the following message on my CS Job site:

Application status: Pre-employment checks
We are reviewing the outcomes of your pre-employment checks.
We will contact you as soon as a decision has been made. Please do not resign from your current position at this time.

Can anybody advise how long they had to wait for a formal offer?
