Reading Festival - is it worth it

I(16f) would really like to go to reading 2024 - im quite a big music fan and i think it will be a super nice memory and post gcse celebration. I want to go with my friends, however they are a bit worried about it being dangerous to camp, we arent much into drinking or ***** and we're quite responsible but i think a festival would be so much fun - any advice/ can u please give me a way to convince my freinds bcs i really want to go and they are not so sure. Should we just do it?

It hasn't been my thing since about 2002 but these places aren't inherently unsafe. You just have to be sensible.

u can always not camp?? how far away do u live? could always do 1 day, take the train home, sleep at home, take the train there, and do another day??? or get a parent to drive u if it is close enough.
