Hi all, regarding application and interview feedback. If things haven't changed in the past 10 years or so... BT and Openreach recruit a large group of apprentices once a year. You might have a successful application but they will keep you on record until the next round of interviews comes up, you will not get feedback. I assumed I failed the application process, 3 months later I got an interview request for the next week. Got an interview, informed I was successful a week later. So you might wait months and months if you're one of the early candidates maybe over a year! I know it sucks waiting, they have a number of places to fill and will keep a short list of potential candidates for the next batch of apprentices. Funny Openreach invited me for interview 6 months after my initial application, I was already in my BT role for 2 months. In the meantime imo keep looking and applying for other opportunities, the more places you apply for the more likely you'll get lucky. I know it's frustrating when you're keen, but try and be patient. Hope that helps

does this apply to not being invited to AC because of no more spaces left even though that candidate passed the video interview? Will that candidate be reconsidered or is it final that that candidate is rejected for no more spaces left?
Hey guys anyone here also doing project management?

Hi, apologies for the delay in responding. Tbh I'm not sure about your situation, can appreciate how frustrating it is though. I guess the recruitment team will keep your information and might reach out to you for future opportunities. They might even consider you for a last-minute interview if they need more candidates. There are other apprenticeships available with different telecom companies that offer degree paths and graduate programs. If you're interested in a teleco position, you could start by studying the CCNA curriculum, it wouldn't hurt and would only boost your CV. Sometimes having a CCNA or similar qualification can be enough to apply directly for certain positions. Hope that helps

they basically said my role I initially applied to filled up around march time and said in an email to reapply to a position that were available at the time, the email said I didn't have to redo the process as I had already done it (passing the video interview and stuff), but I haven't heard back from that point

ooh ok, thanks for clarifying. Hopefully they do get back to u. If they dont, I definitely think they will reply to u by mid August, cause thats when more things are clear since A level results come out.
