If it’s any help I applied for a PGDE Primary education with a 2:2 hons degree and got a place so it’s definitely not impossible despite the courses being competitive!

That's great to hear! Hope it's going well!

Hi, I also have an interview for Dundee in January for PGDE Maths. I also thought this was quite quick too. I have also applied to Strathclyde, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Hi,
Great to see you looking to do PGDE Maths. I run a small tuition company and we have a few pupils looking for N5 and Higher tuition. Would you be interested in a tuition opportunity to gain experience?

Hi,
Just wondering if those about to join the PGDE programme at University have any concerns about gaining employment or know what the chances are of full time employment are once qualified?
I Recently learned about the teacher employment crisis in Scotland and that 4,000 qualified teachers are unemployed despite qualifying and passing interviews etc.
I’m shocked that there is not more information from universities that there is a lack of teaching jobs in Scotland except for specific secondary subjects (maths).
Sadly knowing how true this is from a family friends experience it’s making me rethink joining the course as I don’t want to complete a year more of study and debt to be left on Universal credit of job seekers allowance which according to reports, many are!

I don't remember exactly, but I do remember it was common sense and if you've had classroom experience (observing) you'll do fine. It's not assessed and meant as an ice breakers for the tutors to get to know you.

Hey! How many people interviewed you?
