Hi everyone! I applied for a PGDE in History at Strathclyde, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh back in September 2023. I had an interview with Aberdeen in November and haven't heard anything back (not even a rejected). I had an interview in February with Strathclyde and have received a conditional offer, as I am still finishing up my undergraduate degree! I am from Canada and the application is very very different to what I am used to. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help me out.
Is it normal to not get a decision 2 weeks after an interview? After my interview with Aberdeen I was told I'd find out my decision two weeks after, and it has now been 5 months.
Also, in my application acknowledgement email from Edinburgh, it stated that they did interviews until the end of March. If I haven't received an interview offer at this point, is it safe to assume that I have been rejected?
Cause I'm an international student, I'm eager to start my visa processes and can't fully accept my place at Strathclyde without withdrawing my applications. Naively, I am still really hoping to hear something from Edinburgh. I'm just hoping to figure these things out before I withdraw anything ◡̈

I know you also applied to UHI so just thought I’d let you know I had my interview last week and just heard back today with a conditional offer! So if you haven’t already you may get an email today or soon!

Aww....brilliant! I'm based in Campbeltown but waiting to see where they are going to run the course from.....probably Oban but possibly Lochgilphead.

Nice! I live not far from Lochgilphead but did apply to the Oban campus as I am up and down there quite a lot! I think it usually runs in Oban but if there is demand they sometimes do in Lochgilphead and possibly other UHI Argyll Campuses too!

I'm hoping it will run from Lochgilphead as hate driving the road to Oban! However, I will do it from Oban if needed.

Hi everyone, I had applied for both Primary and Secondary (History) I have experience in both settings. I have been offered a place on both courses. So now I need to decide on one. I think I am going to go with History as it was my first choice. I have two grown up boys (at University) and a 2 year old at home who is starting Nursery this year. Can anyone tell me the timetable commitments of Secondary compared to Primary ? I got offered a place at UHI.
