I answered the first question “tell me about yourself” wrong. You was meant to introduce yourself to the theoretical team in the case study, and I didn’t do that at all, literally didn’t answer the question. Now I know how to answer it properly, that was my only downfall to be honest, and I think my answers were way too rehearsed, they said I was well spoken but I think that it was a bad thing because I am meant to sound natural and sound engaging, I sounded like a old woman who was born in the Shakespeare era😂😂😂

Other than that my assessment was fine. One thing I learnt is that You can’t make a single mistake, it’s too competitive for them to let u off, they’d rather take someone with zero mistakes
I need to be more prepared now so I’m drafting all my answers and I’m getting my KPMG mentor apprentice to look at them

Also the feedback said that they could tell that I don’t wanna work at Deloitte, they said it’s not the company for me which I agree with lol, that’s probably why they rejected me

How did you get feedback from deloitte cause I applied as well but didn't get an option for the feedback. Also may I ask what questions your preparing answers for cause I've done that as well but just wanna make sure I haven't left any important ones out.

Oh nooo, i never knew you had to introduce yourself to the whole team WHATT this is such BS! Nahh no way they clocked onto abt u faking it till u make it 💀😭😭. I sound like a 10 year old lying cos I was stutering soo much it was painful. I really want to compare our feedback reports now I'm so intrigued

YEAH SAME!!!! Now you know, please plan and say your answer as if you was talking to a team !! Or any scenario that u come across. Now we can learn from our mistakes 🥲

they sent feedback after 5 weeks from when I completed it. You won’t get it back for a while, happy I got it back now so I can use it for KPMG. I’ll send you some questions you’d deffo get (from grads and apprentices last year)
Videos : you are in a meeting there are conflicting views they ask for your input
You need to introduce yourself to a manger who just joined and worked in another big 4 firm
You need to do a presentation for new joiners on why u are passionate about your role And why you picked it” don’t quote me this is what grad scheme applicants said it would be on ans last year apprentices and grads
It’s nearly the same as deloittes job sim just a slightly different scenario, pls plan accordingly to this because many ppl have said that these will come up, because you’re the first person ik that has got through

Idk the specific situation that u need to talk about but I think u should understand the STAR structure so u can identify the issue and stuff etc

Thank you so much, this was helpful. Do you think for these questions, you need to act like you are in the setting yourself and give a professional working environment response rather than explaining what you would do in like it was a fictional scenario.

It’s alright I wish I could get more info but I had to pay £50 for a full pack of info, I’d rather not 😅

Act like you’re in a professional environment even wear a blazer if u must 💀💀💀
They wanna see how you act in a professional setting at the end of the day that’s what my mentor told me, he told me to dress very smart.he said there was 1 competency question so brush up on those standard questions

There’s written questions aswell so if they tell u to write an email for example, write it in an email format:
Dear sir/madam,
Blah blah blah

Kind regards
(Name)

10/10 grammar and punctuation he told me if it’s not good then you get rejected. when asked to solve an issue basically EXLAIN IN DETAIL the problem, use facts and figures in detail directly quoting from the information and explain now to solve the issue, USE KPMG VALUES WHILST DOING THIS, so emphasise on quality and integrity etc
Like I’ve emphasised, make sure you use KPMG VALUES !!! For every single question, from written ones to video interviews

I’ve given you a lot of help for someone who hasn’t done it yet lol!!

I want everyone to do well (even if I don’t)

this is such good help i haven’t gotten my results back yet but thank youuu also about the deloitte assessment for the tell me about yourself question i don’t even think i answered in a corporate way in fact i’m not sure if i even got that question & i’m too scared to check my feedback report 💔

Hi, Sorry for bothering I just had one more question and you have more knowledge about this than me. For these scenario interview questions, are KPMG expecting us to act out the situation as if it was real life and you are really working for the company. Or are they expecting us to describe what steps we would take and do if we were put in the hypothetical situation. I think the answer's the first one I mentioned based on the feedback from your Deloitte apprenticeship but I'm just making sure I answer the scenario ones correctly. Thank you

Hello it’s fine honestly , the scenario questions would be you in the shoes of an employee, so u need to give your input by judging any situation that you’re given, they wanna see if you’re a critical thinker and stuff,
In the question (introducing yourself) u need to talk about your qualities, what projects you’ve done that show that you have those qualities (briefly u only have 2 mins to speak) and then something along the lines of thanks for the opportunity to be on the team and I hope my skills really contribute to the success of this project

If it helps when they ask, start or with “I would” so you’re not saying “if I was in this situation, I would” cus it’s abit like… meh
