Yes. It's due to safeguarding - TSR can't guarantee the authenticity of external gcs.

Hi,

In terms of distance from the LICA building either County or Bowland would be closest.
I'm in Lonsdale college, which is probably one of the furthest ones away from LICA! I liked the fact that Lonsdale was a bit of a walk away from central campus, giving more of a separation between work and home.

Some colleges have a mix of room types whereas others are all the same. For example Lonsdale, Fylde and Cartmel are all ensuite, with flats generally shared between 8 people, whilst colleges like Bowland, Pendle and Furness have a mixture of ensuite and shared bathroom accommodation types. Flats are shared between 4 and 12 people, depending on the location. County and Grizedale colleges are a little different in that they also offer 'townhouse' style accommodation, with bedrooms and shared bathrooms located on three floors above the shared living space and kitchen. These townhouses are shared between 12 people and are always very popular.

Certain colleges may have a particular reputation, for instance Fylde is known as the 'sporty' college, but this doesn't really have that much of an impact, at least in my experience. I'd recommend looking at the different locations and accommodation types available and choosing a college based on your preferences.

You can find more information about the colleges and the accommodation available at each at https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/about-us/colleges/

Hope this helps,
