Mst English (1900-Present) - should I apply?

So I've been debating whether or not to apply for Oxford for their Mst English (1900-Present) course, but I'm worried I don't have the right grades to get accepted.

After a rough start to my undergrad (in Archaeology, so definitely an interesting jump there), I ended up graduating with a 2:1 but a 64% average. The first year ended up with a 57% average, although I managed to get good Firsts and high 2:1 marks in my final year.

Despite this I have plenty of experience with discussing literature, including a tenure as editor of my university magazine (which I got shortlisted for a national award) and freelance journalism for a few years.

Is there anything else I can do to improve an application for the course which might make it more competitive? Or, do I even have a chance in being accepted?
