Modern history masters after politics undergrad

Hi all,
I've been accepted to do modern history at masters level, I did politics at undergrad.
I'm wondering if I'll find it difficult to get up to speed with history after doing something different at undergrad? Does anyone have experience of making the same or a similar transition? I'm doing it over two years so hopefully will be able to get up to speed with writing history essays etc?
