oh we did have a video interview, in the first round of digital assessments it included a whole bunch of questions and then you do a video interview at the end 🤣 but i found it went really well cause they had videos for you to watch before doing the questions and video interview, so i took notes and yh the questions were calm

Maybe that is where I screwed up... because for me I think it went horribly at that point

sorry to hear that you didnt get through ☹️ have you applied to other software developer apprenticeships?

and for a video interview next time, to prepare u can write up points for the most common interview questions - having pointers beforehand helps you with coming up with an answer during the prep time for the question. and tbh, i have no idea how i did since they still haven't emailed if i got through to the coding stage

I keep looking around for more software developer apprenticeships and ofc apply when I can but it's just difficult having to take everything into consideration (like distance to get there, their requirements etc.)

Congrats. I'm still disappointed in myself that I screwed up and can't apply anywhere else in sky this recruitment session (not even their cyber security application which was going to be my back up plan) I'm sure I'll find somewhere else eventually

thank you! and yes of course, there are plenty of software developer apprenticeships available, you might be limited in locations but they generally pop up all year round. good luck in your applications tho, i hope it goes well.

Thanks. Who knows maybe sky will send out a second round of apprenticeships next year and maybe I'll try again if I don't get an apprenticeship by then. But ofc no point in wasting my life just waiting for it, there will always be something out there that I can apply for

exactly, i know some ppl who have applied second round for a company and got in their 2nd try, so that's definitely an option if you really want Sky. they do apprenticeships every year normally btw

Finally got an email back and finished the coding questions ughhh I just wanted to know if anyone only got 2 questions. I checked the email and it said that there would be 3 questions (1 with a language of ur choice, 1 JavaScript and 1 CSS) but I didn’t get the CSS question. Is this the case for anyone else??

Good luck to everyone btw!!!

haven't done it yet but it kinda makes sense that there would be 2 questions, cause it said in the job description that there would be 2 coding tasks - so i was initially confused by the email.

btw did the codility tests measure performance too, or did they have that option turned off?

it says in the email that the assessment is timed but on the sky application track website, it says it's not timed and you can spend as long as you need on each question? 😭 so confused, was it timed when you did it?

Its 2 hours for 2 questions, even tho it said 4 hours in the email and 1hr and 30 mins before I did the test on the codility page.

idk why the information they give is different in different places tho, I think they need to update their application process smh 😭
