Sky Software Developer Apprenticeship 2024, Osterley

Its 2 hours for 2 questions, even tho it said 4 hours in the email and 1hr and 30 mins before I did the test on the codility page.

idk why the information they give is different in different places tho, I think they need to update their application process smh 😭

wait did you press on the link in the email?? because i just realised that is the demo test they made for practice. i pressed on the link for the test from the application track website (ending in groupgti) and it goes to the actual codility test that consists of 3 tasks and it's for 4 hours

Hi guys i also applied and am going to do my test tomorrow, super nervous! what languages did you use? i was thinking JavaScript for both of the first two tasks

hi, i used Python for the first 2 tasks as its the one im most familiar and comfortable using. if JavaScript is the easiest for you deffo do it. good luck i hope it goes well!!

Ahhh ok amazing! I’m quite comfortable with javascript but i see why you’d go for python!! Also a bit of a random question, but does anyone know if Sky takes on just one apprentice per position or if they take on a few people? Also good luck to you too!!! 😊

thank you 🙂 !! and as far as i know, i may be wrong, but i think Sky is only taking on 2 apprentices for the lv 4 software developer apprenticeship in the Osterley location specifically - i say that bc if u look at the apprenticeship posting they did on the gov website, it says 2 positions available. it could be a mistake or they just put a random number and it doesnt mean anything, but yeah it's very likely only 2 positions are available 💀

Also for the 3 questions in the coding assessment do you get to choose any language for all 3?

Hey guys, congratulations to those who have completed their coding assessment. I also applied for the software development apprenticeship, got the digital assessment but mine says ‘job simulation’ in the sky portal

only for the first 2 questions, the 3rd question's language couldn't be changed, they already chose one we had to complete it in

that's strange, did you apply for the osterley location too? it just shows I've completed both assessments in my portal, never said anything about job simulation
