Okey dokes, I applied for Sheffield too, got onto the reserve list with a score of 13

I’m on the reserve list too. I received a score of 17.

What was the maximum score?

I’m not sure. I received 5/7 for personal statement and 5/7 for interview. Overall score was 17. I’m guessing it could be 21 if the strengths were scored out of 7 too? 🤔

I find it a bit confusing. I scored 4/7 for personal statement then 4/7 delivering at pace and then it just says 'Strengths Overall Score 12'. So is that 4/7 for strengths? I know the scoring system is quite complex and depends on the job. I think there was an article about it I read once and it was very long. I need to find it again. Anyway, I am not too hopeful as it's a very low score. You will all be offered jobs first

I don’t understand the scoring system at all! From what I’ve read not many ppl get an offer from the reserve list so I’ll not get my hopes up!

It's hard to tell. I have heard different stories. I feel sorry for those who are desperate to start a new job and they have to wait so long. I am currently self-employed and I applied because I have little work coming in so I thought I would give it a try, but I don't mind waiting for a few more months. Also, it might depend on what is happening politically in the UK. I applied in London but I am not sure how many vacancies they have here. I would imagine there are more up north.

Do you know if it’s the case that with bigger campaigns they will place everyone with a pass mark on the reserve list and offer the jobs from there?

Hey yes that should be right. Everyone who's passed would go on the list and they appoint in merit order

Does anyone have any update on this ?

Not me. Still in reserve.

Anyone else got this today?

I refer to your application for the above mentioned vacancy, and your placement on a reserve list for this position. We are writing to confirm if you are still interested in this role.
If you are still interested in remaining on this merit list, you do not need to take any action. If, however, you are no longer interested in this position, I would be grateful if you could withdraw your application from your Civil Service Jobs account.
Please note however, that this is not an offer of a role, and placement on any reserve list does not guarantee that a role may become available during the validity of the merit list.

Yes I received this email as well! Hopefully this is a positive sign and they might be offering roles soon?🙏🏻

Yes I’ve received this email too, hopefully they are thinking of giving people roles from the reserve list, about time I’ve been waiting nearly a year 🙂
