Hi, can I please ask how you all found the programme?
My daughter has been offered it but is unsure, and im not 100% sure what it entails either tbh
Are fees cheaper? Is the university a good one to attend?

Hi, I’m currently doing the programme and I can say it is useful. York is considered as a good university and it is a member of Russel group so leading universities. It also provides 3 grade reduction if programme is successfully completed so it’s a win win in my opinion

Hi there,

You can find out more about the programme on our Next Step York web page.

But to quickly summarise, it's a two-year programme for year 12 students to help them explore what university can offer, find out about their different options, help them make a decision about what to do after college / sixth form.

If you successfully complete the programme, you could be considered for a guaranteed interview or offer to study at York. And, if you do get an offer from York, you will receive two offers: the standard offer and the alternative Widening Participation alternative offer, which is up to three grades below the standard offer published in our prospectus.
