Name Of This Kind Of Study?

Hey Guys;

I'm doing some coursework and have been given a study to compare (I'm not a statistician to say the least).

Effectively it is comparing 328 women divided into 4 different groups and comparing their blood calcium.

82 breast fed and were given a placebo
82 breast fed and were given a supplement
82 bottle fed and were given a placebo
82 bottle fed and were given a supplement

Is there a particular name for this type of study? I'm currently writing up about the study regarding it's variables but want to know if this particular study type has a specific name other than something such as "comparative study"?

The results have been given to us (standard deviation and mean) of each group.

This type of study is commonly known as a randomized controlled trial (RCT), specifically focusing on the effects of feeding method and supplementation on blood calcium levels in women.
